TTRPG CAMPAIGNS I'VE RUN

LAST UPDATED: 4/12/2025

i love playing tabletop roleplaying games of any variety in any way i can, but my favorite kind of play has always been as a game master. GMing TTRPG campaigns has led to some of the most creatively fulfilling stories i've ever had the pleasure of collaboratively telling. there's something so special about it that i don't get from being a player in a GM-led game (although i do tap into it playing GMless games quite a bit).

i've had about 7 years of experience as a GM and they weren't lying when they said practice makes perfect. following the timeline of campaigns i've run, i can see clearly how much i've improved in those 7 years (and how much i'm still improving!) i know people disparage the role of the "forever GM" but if my only play in TTRPG campaigns for the rest of my life was as a GM, i think i would still love the hobby deeply. i'm basically already there!

so, because it's been 7+ years of campaigns and hijinks, i wanted to have a place where i could gush about the stories me and my friends had so much fun (and other feelings) telling together. all of the listed campaigns are in reverse chronological order, meaning the most recent is up first. i'll try to update this page every time i start GMing a new campaign but don't expect more than 1 or 2 updates a year because i do have a day job. my average campaign length is about 9 months and i try to only run 1-2 at a time.

if any of these sounds interesting or you're curious about them, feel free to ask me questions! if we're friends on discord, drop in my DMs. if you don't know me, leave a comment on my guestbook on the home page or follow the links to my other socials and send me a message there! i love talking about TTRPGs!

DEATH GAME TOUR

Interstitial 2E: Our Worlds Connected ft. Darwin, Levi, Julianna

Battler Ushiromiya, Viktor LeagueOfLegends (with a small dose of Arcane thrown in), and Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are all trapped in a deadly game show by a manipulative entity known as The Host. They travel through different death game-based media (like the 2019 horror/comedy Ready Or Not, The Hunger Games, and Saw), earning points for each time they die and learning the rules of the game after every "round". The most important rule so far? They cannot win.

They have to figure out how to break the game or die (again and again) trying. With the help of a "sponsor" from their own world (likely just as manipulative as The Host), they'll do their best to get out of the loop of hellish entertainment, maybe even convicing The Host's assistant Danny Phantom to help them along the way. He doesn't seem to like his job that much, so it shouldn't be hard.

GHOST TOWN: SEASON TWO (unfinished)

Absurdia ft. Levi, Leo, Teu

Months after the defeat of the entity known as the Ghost Town Council, an amalgamation of ghosts and strange red entropy who tried to consume Ghost Town and make it their own, we follow Mags Geiger (a mechanic obsessed with her sentient truck Bad Trip), Dinah Zeyrgut (a pencil pushing bureaucrat with strange ambitions), and Jack Johnson (a boisterous local business owner/scam artist extraordinaire) as they navigate a new world and new faces.

The "wellness" corporation Green Pastures has arrived in Ghost Town and it's determined to bring "wellness" to the community using the moutpiece of Darla Cooper (chief marketing officer). Darla has pitched her employer to the people of Ghost Town and now it's up to the people of Ghost Town and our lovely PCs to answer her call. We'll just have to find out what will come of Green Pastures attempted integration into the city...

GHOST TOWN: SEASON ONE

Absurdia ft. Levi, Leo, Teu

About an hour outside of Austin, in the limestone heart of central Texas, lies a strange city known as Ghost Town. With its meat-based forest, its community hub dedicated to the forces of chaos, and its impossible residents, Ghost Town is a place where anything can happen. Janice Jones (a middle-aged mom and radio host whose soul is trapped in the body of a white borzoi), DJ McNeil (local high schooler who's been possessed by mysterious entities 3 different times and is getting tired of the unknown blood on his hands), and Anemoia (a collection of 4 of Ghost Town's residents, including a giant cat named Mimi, all bound together for reasons no one knows) can say that better than anyone.

When mayor Alessandra Quispe tasks our PCs with the job of "promoting Ghost Town tourism", they uncover a lot more strange energy at play than Ghost Town's usual fare. They must investigate the unexpected disappearances of townspeople, the ghost trying to warn them away or bring them closer trapped in Janice's radio station, and why the mayor is so dang sad all the time now. Little do they know, the answers are all pretty clearly connected.

TEAM LSBN

Thirsty Sword Lesbians ft. Levi, Jeannette, Rae

In the RWBY-inspired universe of Compass, four teens at the monster-hunting school known as Breakon Academy form Team LSBN. Led by Leo Lionheart, the team of Leo, Saoirse "Puck" Goodfellow, Briar De La Rosa, and the GMPC Nikki Du, are all tasked with creating the perfect Breakon Academy prom. But when the rival team AQUA tries to vie for the honor, tension and grief are revealed from all participants. Coupled with Puck's monstrous past coming back to bite her and Briar struggling with an ancient family curse, will these teens actually be able to have their dang prom? Or will they be too busy getting caught in the tangled webs of their own emotions?

LOST WORLDS, HELPING HANDS

Interstitial: Our Hearts Intertwined ft. Levi, Tony, Ava

The multiverse is suffering. Forces beyond explanation have slowly been snuffing the life and resources out of worlds. Lucreatia TheAdventureZone decides to take matters into her own hands and forms Lost Worlds, Helping Hands, an organization dedicated to sourcing, collecting, and distributing resources to all the worlds in need. PCs Doug Eiffiel from Wolf 359, Martin Blackwood from The Magnus Archives, and Aradia Megido are all hired to help.

As they complete more missions, however, they start to realize that something sinister lurks in the ranks of LWHH, even behind the friendly face of Minkowski, something that might be swallowing worlds faster than they can revitalize. John Hunger from TAZ revealed himself as the entity behind the horrors and Doug, Aradia, and Martin had to travel into Weirdmageddon, give John some impromptu therapy, and save everyone who's world was being sucked into the void.

PLANEWALKER'S CURSE

D&D 5e ft. Levi, Tony, Ava, Gabby for some of it

Mojave, a tiefling haunted by a dark diety; Curry, a slightly unethical researcher; Leahay, an insecure genasi; and Jon, a warlock at the beck and call of a frustrating fiend, have been cursed! A malicious entity known as the Game Master put a magical countdown clock on each of their hands and told them that they would need to walk across 10 wildly different planes in order to fuflill an undisclosed purpose (unique to each of them).

Over the course of the journey, they encounter strange magical zombies, mysterious shipwrecks, obnoxious fae, eccentric circus preformers, and much more. Mojave begins seeing his estranged twin sister in each plane, Leahay discovers a way for her to leave the journey and rejoin her family, Jon travels to Hell, and Curry realizes that not everything belongs in a museum.

RIORDAN HELL (unfinished on a technicality)

Fate Core ft. Levi, Josh, Jax, Lee

New from the bones of Rick Riordan's dead horse: After years of prophetic silence, the world is once again in danger because of some wacky Greek shenanigans! Sisyphus has escaped from the Underworld and captured Thanatos himself, opening the Doors of Death wide for anyone who wants to step through. The only thing that can contain him is a pair of magical handcuffs split into four pieces and scattered with a chosen few gods.

In the ultimate fetch quest, heroes Marisol (daughter of Demeter), Jagger (son of Athena), Corey (son of Apollo), and Poppy (daughter of Dionysus) have to travel at the beck and call of various cosmic entities to finally have Hepheastus forge together the handcuffs needed to bind Sisyphus permenantly. Facing mechanical bulls, depressed swan goddesses, bodyswaps, and betrayal along the way, will our heroes accomplish their goal? Or will yet another god send them on some ridiculous errand?

(They did accomplish their goal. We just never got around to playing our last session epilogue)

MASKS (unfinished)

Masks: A New Generation ft. Bucky, Jordan, Chip

In the bustling metropolis of Halcyon City, three superpowered people meet through...extenuating circumstances and form a new superhero group. I'll be honest, I did not take any notes on the PCs names or powers and this campaign was like 8 years ago so I don't remember what they were. But I do remember that their group was united by a reported named Rebecca who gave them a hideout and started connecting them with big name heroes in the city.

Over the course of their rise in popularity, the three heroes uncovered hints of a sinister plot simmering in the background of every villain attack and strange hero disappearance of the last year. Who is taking out heroes and how is Rebecca involved?

(These questions were never answered because the campaign petered off due to the general struggles of being college students)

THE ISLAND OF FALAN

D&D 5e ft. high school friends that i can't remember the name of

A research expedition sent to an island populated by women goes awry when the gods of the island start causing trouble for seemingly no reason. Who is responsible for the storms and unrest raging across the island of Falan and why is the answer a couple of troubled lesbians?
